Aleasha & Jamie

Aleasha & Jamie chose Aquinnah as the location for their end-of-July elopement to Martha’s Vineyard. It was only the bride & groom, accompanied by their two teenage daughters to witness this beautiful celebration.

Aquinnah is unique and always surprising, but the raw nature of the location never disappoints. From perfect sunshine to misty fog that you cannot encounter anywhere else on Martha’s Vineyard, this location has so much to offer to all couples in search of a little adventure and dramatic scenery for their ceremony.

Aleasha & Jamie were passionate about having the red clay cliffs up-island as their ceremony & portraits backdrop. They had fallen in love with the spot a few years back when they first visited the island and unequivocally knew this would be their wedding location. Despite the weather forecast, they never wanted to consider a back-up location. Their optimism was contagious and it paid off as they were welcomed by a brief break of sunshine after a rainy start of the day.

They met their photographer at the historic Gay Head Lighthouse for a quick family session, then made their way on foot following the beautiful tall grass trail going down to the beach.

Their ceremony and vows exchange on the beach were intimate and emotional as they shared the small things they appreciate in each other. They had their first dance right there on the beach and shared a toast to the future with their daughters. The day ended with a dramatic misty sunset as the famous Aquinnah fog set in, offering such a unique depth to their newlyweds portraits.
